At first entrance, the trueITpros stamp is all over the building as we painted accent walls with company logo colors, not to mention a hand painted mural to display the creativity of our in-house web designers.

The carbon footprint on the Earth has been a hot topic across many spectrums in the business world. It not only applies to the automotive industry; it applies to any type of business. Everyone can go “Green”, including IT firms. At trueITpros we pride ourselves in making small businesses run more efficiently. Let us show you how to help the planet through green IT services.
Did you know there is a thing as e-waste? Yes, e-waste or electronic waste refers to discarded electronic devices such as computers, printers, laptops or mobile phones. Some business owners may not be aware of how the lack of recycling can affect the amount of e-waste accumulated on a yearly basis. However, there are ways to run your business and lessen your carbon footprint. Recycling is important.

Help the planet by going green in your office.
Design is key. Setting up an office is the first step to green it services. It is important to create a working environment that uses exactly what it needs instead of having unnecessary equipment laying around. Measuring the amount of energy used to operate your business is the best way to determine the size of your footprint. This will help you set reasonable goals towards improvement. Next, you should review the equipment in your office. Is it energy-star efficient certified? Today you can go to any electronic store to purchase computers and office equipment that are energy-star certified, which cuts down on your electric bill.
What about killing trees? Statistics show double sided printing reduces paper consumption up to 40%. With gas prices going through the corporate ceiling, employers can offer other methods of working to employees. Teleworking or flex-time working hours can help employees conserve on gas. It can also reduce the demand for office space for employers. In this set-up everyone is winning.
Major moves in technology have made living today easier and more convenient for the average consumer. There is really no excuse for being wasteful, when everything is moving towards a more efficient and energy conscious way of living and working. Stop treading on the planet with out- dated equipment. Try a different approach and go green.
